Kantara-Chapter-1 : ऋषभ शेट्टी यांच्या बहुचर्चित ‘कांतारा: चॅप्टर 1’ चित्रपटाच्या सेटवर पुन्हा एकदा दुर्दैवी घटना घडली आहे. प्रसिद्ध मल्याळम अभिनेता आणि मिमिक्री कलाकार कलाभवन निजू(Kalabhavan Niju) यांचे हृदयविकाराच्या झटक्याने निधन झाले. ते केवळ ४३ वर्षांचे होते.

निजू हे चित्रपटाच्या शूटिंगदरम्यान बेंगळुरूमधील होमस्टेमध्ये थांबले होते. गुरुवारी रात्री त्यांना छातीत वेदना जाणवू लागल्याने तातडीने रुग्णालयात नेण्यात आले, मात्र डॉक्टरांचे प्रयत्न अपयशी ठरले.
विशेष म्हणजे, याच वर्षी मे महिन्यात कन्नड विनोदी अभिनेता राकेश पुजारी यांचेही कार्डियाक अरेस्टमुळे निधन झाले होते. त्याआधी, केरळमधील ३२ वर्षीय जूनियर आर्टिस्ट एम.एफ. कपिल यांचा नदीच्या प्रवाहात वाहून जाऊन मृत्यू झाला होता.
या सलग घटनांमुळे ‘कांतारा: चॅप्टर 1’ च्या सेटवर भीतीचं आणि दुःखाचं वातावरण पसरलं आहे. युनिटमधील सदस्य मानसिकदृष्ट्या हादरले असून, निर्मात्यांनी शूटिंग काही काळासाठी थांबवण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे.
ऋषभ शेट्टी यांच्या २०२२ मधील सुपरहिट ‘कांतारा’ चित्रपटाचा हा प्रीक्वल असून, ‘चॅप्टर 1’ ऑक्टोबर २०२५ मध्ये प्रदर्शित होण्याची शक्यता आहे.
Kantara: Chapter 1 — Another Tragedy Strikes Rishab Shetty’s Film Set
In a deeply saddening turn of events, yet another tragedy has struck the sets of Rishab Shetty’s much-anticipated film Kantara: Chapter 1. Renowned Malayalam actor and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Niju passed away after suffering a heart attack. He was only 43 years old.
According to reports, Niju was staying at a homestay in Bengaluru during the film’s shoot when he complained of chest pain late at night. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved.
This marks the third death associated with the film’s production in recent months, following the untimely demise of Kannada comedian Rakesh Poojary and junior artist M.F. Kapil, who drowned in the Souparnika River. The string of unfortunate incidents has cast a shadow over the film’s production, leaving the cast and crew in a state of shock.
Kantara: Chapter 1 is a prequel to the critically acclaimed 2022 film Kantara, and is slated for release on October 2, 2025.
