Ahmedabad-Plane-Crash : अहमदाबादमध्ये गुरुवारी दुपारी एक भीषण विमान अपघात झाला. एअर इंडियाच्या लंडनला जाणाऱ्या फ्लाइट AI171 ने टेकऑफ घेतल्यानंतर काही क्षणांतच मेघानीनगर परिसरात कोसळून मोठी दुर्घटना घडली. या बोईंग 787-8 ड्रीमलायनर विमानात २४२ प्रवासी होते, त्यात १६९ भारतीय, ५३ ब्रिटिश, ७ पोर्तुगीज आणि १ कॅनडियन नागरिकांचा समावेश होता.
विमान केवळ ६२५ फूट उंचीवर असताना कोसळले आणि परिसरात प्रचंड आग लागली. घटनास्थळी अग्निशमन दल आणि आपत्कालीन पथकांनी तत्काळ धाव घेतली. या दुर्घटनेत २४१ जणांचा मृत्यू झाल्याची माहिती समोर आली आहे. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी(Narendra Modi) यांनी घटनास्थळी भेट देण्याची घोषणा केली असून, केंद्र आणि राज्य सरकारने हेल्पलाइन क्रमांक सुरू केले आहेत.
या अपघातात एक चमत्कारही घडला — रमेश विश्वासकुमार नावाचा प्रवासी विमानातून ४२५ फूट खाली पडूनही बचावला आहे. सध्या त्याच्यावर रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरू आहेत.

या विमानात एकूण २४२ प्रवासी होते. विमान टेकऑफ केल्यानंतर अवघ्या दोन मिनिटांतच ते नियंत्रणाबाहेर गेले आणि हवेतच ब्लास्ट झाल्याची माहिती अधिकाऱ्यांनी दिली. हादरवून टाकणाऱ्या या दुर्घटनेनंतर घटनास्थळी आग लागली आणि बचावकार्य सुरु करण्यात आले.
रमेश विश्वासकुमार नावाचा प्रवासी विमानातून ४२५ फूट उंचावरून खाली पडूनही वाचला. सध्या त्याच्यावर अहमदाबाद येथील सिव्हिल हॉस्पिटलमध्ये उपचार सुरू आहेत.

Ahmedabad – In one of the worst aviation tragedies in India’s recent history, Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London, crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday afternoon. The aircraft, carrying 242 people, including 230 passengers and 12 crew members, went down in the Meghani Nagar area, triggering a massive fire.
Authorities have confirmed the death of 241 individuals, with only one miraculous survivor: 40-year-old Ramesh Viswashkumar, a British national of Indian origin, who was seated in 11A. He is currently undergoing treatment at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital.
Among the deceased was former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who was reportedly en route to London to meet his family. The passenger list included 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian.
The pilot had issued a “MAYDAY” call moments before the crash, but contact was lost soon after. Rescue teams, including NDRF and BSF units, rushed to the scene. The aircraft reportedly struck a medical college hostel, causing additional casualties on the ground.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident “heartbreaking beyond words.” He is expected to visit the crash site and meet with victims’ families. Relief flights from Delhi and Mumbai have been arranged for relatives, and helpline numbers have been activated.
